GREATS x Nick Wooster x Lardini

The FW16 collections is filled with tweed goodies selected by the man, Wooster, himself

Words by Billy George

My respect for Nick Wooster is endless. When the menswear icon gets involved in the design of anything, you guaranteed to love it. The tweed superstar has had a history at big brands such as Ralph Lauren and Bergdorf Goodman. His work never goes unnoticed, a Business of Fashion's '100 Most Influential People in the World', a constant Vanity Fair best-dressed candidate.

He's a visionary. He's killing the industry, and in a good way, influencing the mismatched movement of sneakers and traditional suit-wear.

Selecting a mismatched brown/grey donegal tween from Japan and mismatched brown/grey herringbone tweed, the man got to work with Greats on a two-shoe collection for Fall/Winter. The upper is brilliantly matched, or missmatched, on the Margom outsole which add's a bit of height to the traditional Great's sole. Hand crafted by the artisans in Marche, Italy, there is nothing more sartorially excellent than these fine shoes on your feet.

This is Lardini's classic textiles, paried with Wooster's brilliance and Great's excellent history in shoes.
