Display ACF's signature motifs of scissors and punk tailoring, the Sam Lambert & Shaka Maidoh discuss their origins in London and influences whilst growing up and how that has reflected in their sense of style and toward their brand; Art Comes First.
Punk, utilitarian, edgy. Expressing their creativity to different platforms, Art Comes First and Fred Perry collaborate after a success past season collection that had punters foaming at the mouth. This second collection for Spring/Summer 2017, blends Jamaica's 1960s Rudeboy culture with London's punk scene to build sharp and classic lines on Fred Perry's signature silhouettes. The video gives a sneak peak at some of the pieces, from the black bomber to the white polos, flying close to the previous collection yet updated with statements and branded insignia.
Mr Lambert & Mr Maidoh have long been an inspiration toward my styling choices. Bringing back that traditional punk and rock n' roller look with a sartorial twist has become a phenomenon. The pair have long been fashion week street style stars, featured in most photographers collections of photos. You may not know their names, but you most definitely recognise them if fashion is anything to you!
Either way, the Fred Perry x Art Comes First 2017 Spring Summer collection is available from the 4th of February 2017. Keep a look out!
